Police in Garissa have arrested three people in connection with the killing of a CID officer.
The officer was killed in Liboi last Friday.
Northern Kenya regional CID boss Musa Yego said the three are key suspects in the killing.
Speaking to the Star on the phone, he said they were arrested yesterday in the outskirts of Liboi town following a tip-off from the public.
"We are yet to establish their nationality as we are interrogating them," said Yego.
He said police are pursuing their accomplices who are still at large.
Initial reports indicate the attackers, suspected to be four, escaped to Somalia.
They stole the officer's gun and abandoned it a few metres from the crime scene.
