Dear Friends,
This year’s election is coming already. On Tuesday, November 2, I will need your vote to enable me to become the next state legislature district 61A in the Minnesota House. If elected, I will work to solve our state’s massive $ 6 billion dollar deficit; I will work for common-sense budget solutions and initiatives to help working families. I will work for policies that will invest our communities and this will lead to job creation. I believe that this is the time to define priorities and develop innovative solutions to deliver the State services to the people of my district while giving them the best value for their tax dollars.
Many Minnesota families have been affected by the economic challenges of the last two years. The State of Minnesota must change its behavior to reflect those realities. We can still serve the most vulnerable, provide for our schools, fund our nursing homes and keep our streets safe; if only we as Minnesotans set our priorities right and manage our State finance, in the same manner as many families do.
To accomplish these objectives will take hard work, cooperation, and compromise, but my opponent of this election, Representative Clark is a career politician who rubber stamps her party. I on the other hand, will pledge to you that I will work both sides of aisle in order to meet the needs of our citizens.
The State of Minnesota must learn to spend less and operate better. Together, we can bring responsibility back to government and opportunities back to our families and businesses. If elected, I will work hard for policies that will give families the opportunity to work their way through the challenges of the last few years, helping educate our children, providing those who are unable to look after themselves that is the kind government that makes sense to me.
I understand that we are facing challenges that we haven’t seen in a longtime, however, we have an opportunities to create real changes in the way our State does business. I know that by listening to our citizens and having the courage to try new solutions, we can give the people of South Minneapolis and all Minnesota the responsible, effective government they expect and deserve.
Thirty years is a longtime, when you spent that long in office, you become out of touch with the people. My opponent has been in the office for that entire time. I believe that the stakes are high for this election, the people of my district deserve a choice in the upcoming election and I intend to offer to them that choice.
I have felt very much honored to be running for State Representative District 61A over the past five month, as I have listened to your voices, you have helped me informed to the concerns and the needs of our district. If elected, I will do my best to provide responsible leadership and willingness to work with Republicans, Democrats and Independents in order to get the job done for my district.
