We Failed To Assess with their "Performances"

Since I have been struggling for my survival through the years, my attention towards the politics of Somali remained very slim.

But now the time has come gabs and absence threads of Somali politics are highlighted - both at Somali's level of prospect as well as internationally.

It was in 2000 when a conference called "Peace for Somali was hosted in Arta of Djibouti Republic where thousands of Somali peace lovers came from worldwide to attend this conference too.

Since then, there were many similar conference and elections which took place in Djibouti, Kenya or I think even in Ethiopia.

To my little knowledge and experience, learning the subject of politics in colleges and universities is to reflect politicians so they will apply to it for the requirements of their responsibilities, both locally and internationally.

Consequently if we ask Nurses to perform a job of Specialists, we should not expect from them the performance of "specialist" to hold accountability".

A politician is:  (President, Parliamentarians,  Ambassadors, Military Attaches, Commercial Attaches, 1st Secretary, 2nd Secretary and Third Secretary etc) and they should all have the right accreditation in order to represent a nation to preserve its integrity, dignity, its territorial land, its territorial water, the security of  its people and of course, its  political opinion in world affairs.

So it seems,   we Somalis, no matter which region or part we come from, our priories are, our personal interest and prompting tribalism and that has even superadded than our patriotism and the love of our great nation.

Our primitiveness and chronic ideology towards tribalism placed us in a position we destroyed our country which I could lead us to loss our existence in the world unless a consensus and compromise for all the conflicts and disputes is reached by us with immediate effect.

With my strong outcry and wake-up call (to you, all Somalis), at least for the sack of our existence and the grain of  great nation, it is high time we should learn and apply to some of the "international yardsticks or measures which are:     "Accountability", Miles stones, Benchmarks, and Procedures to follow", in order to measure and assess the performance of those holding the "big titles" in the name of Somalia people, such as the elected presidents and parliamentarians  etc.

"Accountability" carried out and scrutinized by Somalis people themselves and not by the U.N., AU or IGAD should be on table from now onwards.

We are by our own and we don't have a shoulder to cry on.  So it is Now or Never.

* We carried a revolution 20 or 21 years and before everyone else but failed to implement as planned, but we repeat it again along with our lesson learned*.
