Kimberley (Sapa) - Northern Cape police arrested 10 people in Galeshewe on Wednesday in connection with the murder of two Somalis.

Police spokesperson Tony Modise said the 10, aged between 15 and 22, allegedly attacked the Somalis at their tuck shop in Phutanang township last week on Friday.

"It is alleged the 10 suspects were involved in a brawl with the Somalis which led to the death of Daniel George and Isse Ibrahim Abdi."

Modise said a Somali who survived the attack was arrested for attempted murder. He allegedly shot one of the attackers in the arm.

All those arrested would appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court within a day or two, Modise said.
