MOGADISHU (Reuters) - A roadside bomb apparently targeting Somali government soldiers killed two children outside a school in Mogadishu on Sunday, a witness said.
Ibrahim Mohamed, who lives near the school, told Reuters by telephone that a man was also seriously wounded. "I think the bomb targeted Ethiopian and Somali government troops who frequently use the road," he said.
The Horn of Africa nation of 9 million people is wracked by an Iraq-style insurgency led by Islamist rebels against the Somali government and its Ethiopian military backers.
