Flowood, Mississippi (WLBT) - Pearl police say a man was trying to cross Highway 80 when he was struck and killed by an oncoming car.
It happened around 8:30 last night.
Chief Bill Slade says 32-year-old Mahmoud Bulhun was walking west on 80 when he tried to cross a part of the highway where there are no street lights.
An approaching car apparently did not see him. Slade says there is no indication of any wrongdoing.
The victim was a native of Somalia and was living in a Flowood motel.
