advertisementsA group of 28 illegal immigrants arrived early Friday evening at Wied il-Buni in Birżebbuġa escorted by members of the Armed Forces of Malta.
The group of 20 men and eight women, all hailing from Somalia, were brought ashore at around 1830CEST by the AFM’s Maritime Squadron's Swift-class patrolboat P-24 in rough sea conditions.
The immigrants were then handed over by the AFM to awaiting Police immigration authorities.
