Somali President Hassan Sheik Mahmoud has appointed a new head for the country’s top military court. The appointment marks the end of several months of interim leadership by Colonel Liban Ali Yarow.

A presidential decree named Colonel Abdirahman Mohamed Tur-yare as the new chief of Somalia’s high military court.
The military court was previously headed by the current Mogadishu Mayor Brigadier General Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), before he was named as Somali capital’s mayor recently.
