Mogadishu (HOL) - An improvised explosive device (IED) blast has killed two people and injured three more in Beledweyne, according to witnesses and police.
Witnesses say that gunmen manning an illegal checkpoint at Gambar-Labe, 2km from Beledweyne, were targeted by an IED, the ensuing blast killed two of the militiamen and wounded three others.
SNA troops arrived on the scene and conducted an unfruitful investigation. No arrests were made.
There has been no immediate claim on responsibility for the attack.
