Mogadishu (HOL) As complaints have been mounting in recent days about the conduct of the House of Representatives elections, the Dispute Resolution Committee has called for the candidates to raise their concerns with the committee.
"We urge every candidate to send their grievances directly to us and not to social media," said Mohamed Ibrahim Barre.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) statement comes at a time when there are many complaints from candidates who say that the current electoral process is deeply flawed compared to other indirect elections.
On Friday, the international community called on Somalia's leaders to deliver a credible electoral process.
The Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS) warned that a stolen election would significantly undermine the democratic gains made in recent years and lead to political instability and violence.
