Police said they were called to the area of Dundas Street West and Avonhurst Road just after 7 p.m. on Monday with reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police said they located a
victim who was pronounced dead on scene. Police said the suspect was in
custody and the homicide unit had taken over the investigation.In an update Tuesday, police identified the victim as 55-year-old Mohamed Said Mohamed.
Police charged 64-year-old Abdiaziz Abdi, of Toronto, with first-degree murder in relation to the shooting.
Abdi is set to appear in court on Tuesday.
