Over 50 Al-Shabaab militants killed in Jubbaland operations, Somalia

    Mogadishu (HOL) -  Abdirahman Yusuf Aladala, Deputy Minister of Information for the Federal Government of Somalia, has provided updates on the fourth day of military operations in the Lower Jubba region.

    Minister Aladala reported that the collaborative efforts between Somali forces and the Dervishes of the Jubbaland administration have resulted in significant setbacks for the Al-Shabaab group. "The national forces, alongside Jubaland's heroes, have engaged the Khawarij for four consecutive days. We have successfully eliminated over 50 militants, detained 20, and reclaimed numerous territories," stated Deputy Minister Aladala.

    The allied forces' operations in the Lower Jubba region have ousted Al-Shabaab from multiple areas and villages that were under their control. Federal government representatives assert that these actions will persist until the Al-Shabaab's presence is completely eradicated from Jubbaland's jurisdiction. These operations are among the most forceful executed in the region."
