Hargeisa (HOL) - Somaliland police forces in the Sahel region have arrested a driver who allegedly fled the scene after hitting a 9-year-old boy on Saturday at 11:20 PM.
"After a 24-hour search, operation, and investigation, the police force arrested the suspect who committed the act and the person who was with him," said a traffic police official.
The governor of the Sahil region, Ali Abdillahi, known as Ali Case, praised the police for apprehending the suspect, who will be brought before the law.
During the investigation, the police arrested the drivers of at least 300 vehicles, one of which was found to be the vehicle that hit the young boy.
