Jowhar (HOL) – Hirshabelle police arrested five bandits during a security operation on Saturday along the road between Jowhar and Bal’ad districts in the Middle Shabelle region.
According to police officials, the suspects were captured while attempting to rob civilians travelling on the road. The officers vowed that the bandits would be brought to justice.

"We have arrested bandits who were harassing the public and seized materials stolen from them. These individuals will be submitted to the courts," said a Hirshabelle police officer. The police also announced that such operations would continue along the Jowhar-Bal’ad route, which has seen an increase in gang activity in recent months.
