If all your attempts to grasp and decipher the elements of politics in the globe seem impossible, you are not alone in the mix-up. Think more than once, before forming your views about the current global events such as the death of Binladin, Gadafi’s struggle to hold on to power, the uprising in Bahrain, Yemen, and other Middleeastern countries, the unpredictability of the global weather, the frigile ceasefires around the world borders, and Somalis’ unending political chaos. In fact, everything is in its place for a reason, which the history may rewrite in the future. Do you feel confused enough about the term politics itself, what is taking place in various parts of the world? Does everything appear erratic and untrustworthy at times? Moreover, do the hand-written rules that govern how to handle materials, people, environments, and animals in your surroundings seem distorted? Yeah, that is right where we are at the moment in the world of politics.

Allow me to give you the gist of the global politics, which is transforming in unprecedented speed. In the western world if you do not play by the rules of the house, the rules of the house will be broadcasted to you in (High Definition) HD screens. In certain cases, no UN Resolutions would be necessary to complete the mission, and no inverse politics would apply for normal eyes to capture. That will be an intriguing episode for another show down.

Politics is all about saying screw you in courteous and respectful terms.

Allow me to apply the US politics in my instances of expression for the sake of writing this article. Few members of the US conservative Party, known the tea party, defied the reality of politics in the last general elections and had to resort to tag-of-war-like politics as usual. The pay out was enormous enough to render the Republicans more votes in the house. When the tea party assembly prevailed after their highly sophisticated break-and-blame style, the entire party stood to take the credits—brilliant strategy. Do you think the trivial number of the republicans is the sole player on the conservative side in the entire political campaign? Do you think the issue of Obama’s birth certificate had anything to do with Obama’s birthplace and the certificate itself? The applied factors clearly validate the importance of having a carpeter for the carpentry. Even the republicans who had full knowledge of Obama’s birthplace kept silence, while the tea party assembly did the muddy work. In the US political platforms, the republican’s political strategy hinges on having the democrats behind the eight ball at all times. Similar methods exist in any global, regional, and local politics in well-matched local formats. Moreover, the democrats’ complacency after becoming the majority is not coincidence, but a lack of more political means to market to counter the sharp criticsm from the Conservatives.

In this instance, the Democrats’ only methodoloy is usually to recoil to its orginality of wait and see to stragize for future political campaigns. Well, that was a taste of sheer politics in the western world.

Back to Somali politics, from distance the political events in Somalia emerge to be far beyond its politicians’ ken to handle. In addition, the tackling of the real issues become more complicated as the politicians are drawn to their old-dandy style of using the resources at their disposal—tribal coalition. It is now nearing a decade since the TFG was founded to bring and foster a lasting peace in Somalia. Hitherto, the politicians still have not figured out the elements that are mutually inclusive, and the elements that are mutually exclusive in their political platforms. Somalis political platform is a place where the neophytes gain experience at the cost of the vulnerables. It is true that most politicians develop a network of weather friends, who are prepared to step out into the the greener spot when the novelty wears off. What happens to the regular people, the common, and the majority in a sheer politics? Well, that is exactly the rationale beyond the political science field—how to say screw you in the most polite method possible without putting you in tears, how to turn the majority into minority, and most of all how to prevail as a great politician. In other words, the authentic hereos and patriots that nations produce do not stand the chance as they perish in the go-figure process. Do the man-made suffering of your people and still watching helplessly the bloody figures that are tearing down the leftovers trouble you. Do you recall the so-called strategic players in the horn of Africa—the neighboring folks who are clinging to their chance of keeping Somalia subdued at all cost.

The regular Farahs in the play field, not the eagles in the arena, should read global politics behind the lines fast to capture the reality and think out of the box.  Dr. Jowhar’s article is a great example of dirty politics at almost its best play (Dr. Jowhar, 2011). The Doctor took the issue of Somali politics far beyond veracity, implying that Hargeysa had the greatest democracy that happened in the world while promoting and calling for the strangling of the dissent regional activists—democracy in reverse. It is crucial for Dr. Jowhar to to seek better approaches to apply to roll things into his way, depending on the objectivity of the original intent.

Enjoyed your tour of the Somali politics, wait until the end of the game to see the trophy handed over to the last man standing and that is you—the spectator.
