Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) – Four people were killed in Mogadishu last night under various circumstances. Two of the four were civilians and two were members of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) soldiers.Two civilians were killed in the district of Dharkanley in their homes by assailants using guns and knives.
Residents in the area where the two civilians were killed informed us that the deceased worked as security guards in the house they were killed and that the owners of the house are currently outside the country. Residents added that the killing was brutal and that people in the area are looking for the relatives of the deceased so that the deceased can be buried.
Moreover, two TFG soldiers were killed last night in the district of Yaqshid. The two soldiers were shot dead by unidentified assailants.
Muhayadin Hasan Jurus, the administrator of the district of Yaqshid told reporters that when the two soldiers were killed, they were engaged in security operations.
Civilian killings, particularly those who work for the TFG, have recently increased. As a result people leaving the city for the deteriorating security has gone up.
